Fridays are always busy work days for me. Not that you can call actually being at the office for 3 hours busy, but it is the most time that I spend there at once. Anyway, as I was working today I was thinking about another benefit for me that comes with working outside of the house, bragging!
I never thought that I would be one of those women who goes on and on about her kids, but as I look back on my life, I can't think of a reason why I thought that. When my nephews were small, I talked about them nonstop. Before them, it was my much younger brother and sisters. Now, with the births of my children I am even worse than ever.
My poor clients and coworkers are set up to having to listen about the daily minutia about the kids like no other people in my life. Chris lives it with me, so he isn't too impressed when I tell him for the 100 time that Bec is pulling himself up, or that Ivy is doing great at drop off in her 2 year old class. But, my coworkers and clients are a different story. Since I only see them at most once a week, to the least once a month, all of my stories are somewhat new and exciting. They all either don't have children, or their children are adults, so they always seem interested. They ask questions about me, about the kids and want updates from previous visits. It makes me feel wonderful to share these things with women who want to know.

I am so lucky to have them all in my life. I have worked with some of them since I opened my business 10 years ago. Some I have added in just this year. I can't imagine going through the miscarriages, the pregnancy and the adoption without them. Just let me repeat, I'm so lucky.
