I frequently read an alternative blog that I really enjoy. I never thought that I would be able to share something that I found on that site that would be appropriate for this one, but I came across this activity this week and had a lot of fun doing it. I have already shared this with some of my other online friends, and thought that maybe you all would appreciate it as well. It also kind of ties into the post that I did recently about body image.

The above pic is one that I created in anime style through
abi-station. One of the things that I challenged myself to do was to try to create this image without using a mirror. They take you step by step through backgrounds, face shapes, hair styles, accessories, skin color and more. You get to see the image as you make the choices for the most part, but some remain a mystery until the end choice is selected. Now, you have to move fast at the end to save the image to your computer, but it is worth it! (If you are satisfied with what you have chosen)

Something that I would have done differently is to not put my name in the image. By labeling it, it felt that the image couldn't stand on it's own as being recognizable as me. With others that I have shared this with, they say that it is totally me!

Anyway, I felt that this would be neat for people who feel uncomfortable posting real photos on the internet. Also if you feel like you would like to create an image for yourself, I would love to see it! Kind of like placing a name with a face to some of my readers that I don't know, but still having a bit of anonymity as well. Have fun and get creative!
