So I had finally made it to Wednesday, my dad's birthday. Here is what it was like for me.
I had decided early on that this would need to be a day that I should get out of the house and have face to face interactions. I planned out to work at both of my out of the home jobs and do some social things as well. I had contacted our trusted sitter just in case I needed her that night as well.
I went in and worked at my accounting job for a few hours in the early morning. I made sure to wear very comfortable clothes, some of my favorites to be gentle with myself. I then went in and worked at the spa and gave a couple of massages to loyal clients who were forewarned that I may need to cancel at the last minute.
After my work schedule, my partner at the spa gave me a facial. We were able to talk and I was able to relax and be cared for by someone I trust with all of my heart. I hadn't had a facial in almost a year and it was such a treat.
I came home and took a small nap, checked in to find a few encouraging emails and also supportive voice mails from friends. Throughout the day all of my siblings and I were calling into each other to see how things were going. It was funny because I had made sure to work, while the older ones had taken the day off. Some of my younger sibs went to school. One stayed home. We all coped in our own ways.

I then went to pick up Ivy early from toddler preschool and took her to our state fair. We had all went as a family on Saturday, but her and I enjoyed some extra time on Wednesday just the two of us. Looking at things more in depth and more slowly. Taking the time to eat some fair food junk and pick up some fair food junk for dinner for Chris.
