I know that there is a quote out there somewhere that states that everything that can be created has already been created, or something to that tune. Well, I encountered this with today's post. I had the bright idea of researching and running a list of celebrities that have had miscarriages. Starting to do my search, I ran across,
babyfruit. This blog is written by Aliza Sherman Risdahl and it has a list of celebrities who have miscarried. Some of her sources may be a little sketchy, but her list is impressive. I have written about Tori Amos and her struggles, knew about Kirstie Alley, but a lot of women on the list were surprising. Heartbreaking as well, as I was reminded of Katey Sagal's miscarriage, which even when I heard about it in college, it tore my heart out.
Even more impressive than her list of celebrities is her list of blogs. Hello! She writes like I couldn't even imagine writing. She posts more than I could ever dream of. Let's see, the woman has 6 blogs and contributes to 2 more. She has blogs about traveling, her dogs, writing a book and her infertility and pregnancies. And I have trouble at times posting here twice a day. To quote Risdahl from her "about me" page on typepad, she writes,
blogging is my weakness.

No joke.
On her site for
babyfruit she has a listing for her book of miscarriage poetry, which is one of my passions, as you know. I'm ordering it today and will let you know how it turns out. There is also her book called,
The Everything Blogging Book. This also looks very interesting. You know that it was written by a pro. Compared to this woman, I need all of the help that I can get!
