As you can tell by the photo, I found an appropriate Christmas style outfit for Bec! Ivy already had her little outfit that was purchased for her by my mom last Christmas but didn't fit. It is a little sweatsuit by Ecko with the white fake fur around the hood and sparkley rhinestones in a star pattern on the jacket and pants. It is odd because Ivy is 3 but can fit into a variety of sizes. For instance, this outfit is 18 months!
We took the kids to our local mall to have their Santa pic taken before it got too late in the season. I was resigned to having Bec wear a generic Santa hat that I found in the baby stuff in our garage, but I was still on the lookout. While Bec slept in Chris' arms in line to see Santa, Ivy and I went to nearby Gotschalks to check out their options. We were very happy because we were the second family in line. By the time it opened, the line was down the hallway.

The pickings were slim again. The largest size that I saw was 9 months. I felt myself getting really irritated again and then I saw it! In the wrong section, just waiting for us, was a size 12 month plush Santa suit that looked kind of big. And it was 50% off. It came with a hat and belt as well. I asked the clerk if I could take it out of the store to hold it up to Bec and she watched me the whole time. It was going to fit!
While he was still sleeping, I changed him into his new outfit and breathed a sigh of relief. He is wearing it to his nursery school today to hand out chocolates to his teachers. Ivy is also wearing hers to hand out her gifts as well. Hey, these outfits only work a few days out of the year!
